Newry wheelers riders Pete Mc Conville, Mark Campbell and Ivan Mc Conville travelled to Tymon Park in Dublin last weekend to compete in round two of the Irish Super Cross series. The course was flat, fast and some very technical corners to negotiate, Pete and Mark started well and maintained good position within the top 20, both moved up through the field to place an excellent 11th and 14th respectively. The race also saw the return of Ivan who was coming back after his bad accident in the Lurgan super cross race, Ivan competed very well coming in a very creditable 41st.
The next round is in Kilbroney Park on the 29th November, hosted to Newry Wheelers. Going by current form both Mark and Pete will be pushing for a top ten finish, with other club riders Kevin Lynch, Conor Quinn and Desi Foley expected to compete in this round.
